Belote scoring can be dificult for a few differents reasons. The main trick bonus is easy for people to forget. Additionally, people struggle with situation when a player announces a bonus that isnt record in the scoring.

While the calculator can help you with the math for the game of Belote, you must know the different element and what they represent for the calculator to return a correct result. To use the calculator correctly, you must enter the contract mode, the trick point that each side of the contract collected, and any extra bonus that occurred during the round of Belote. The contract mode is important because it will determine the number of points for the round.

How to Score Belote with a Calculator

In a suit contract, the jack and the nine of trump suit have high value. The total points before the last trick will be 152. In a no-trump contract, the jack and the nine of trump suit do not have any extra value.

The total point pool will be 120. In an all-trump contract, the total value of the trump suit is elevate. The total point pool will be 248 points before the last trick.

The contract mode is essential for determining how many points from the deck exist to be divide between the two partnerships. The two partnerships will receive their share of the points before the ten point bonus for winning the last trick. Many groups may agree to contracts of 82 points for a suit contract bid.

However, contracts can also be made for a sequence or a square that will increase the target point for the team. The team can manual adjust the target in the calculator. By entering the declarations for each side in the game, the team can decide whether the declaration will count towards their contract or will remain outside of the contract.

For example, a declaration could potentially rescue a contract in the case that the taker side does not take the tricks required to fulfill their contract. The Belote-rebelote bonus is a bonus awarded for twenty points if a side wins a trick with the king after the queen has been played. It is essential to record which side took this bonus in the game because the calculator will indicate whether or not the contract is held by either of the two competing team.

At some tables, the players will use the Belote-rebelote bonus in no-trump contracts and at other tables will not use this bonus for no-trump contracts. Thus, the calculator must provide the ability to use or not use this bonus. A Capot occurs when one side of Belote takes all of the tricks.

A Capot will create a very large change in the score for that round. There are different rule for a Capot in different groups of Belote players. The calculator will account for three of the most common rules for a Capot so that any team can use the calculator to match the rules of their table.

A defense Capot occurs when the defending side ends up with all eight tricks. Any Capot of this nature means that the taker side will end up with nothing while the defense claims all of the tricks. Both options must be selected in the calculator to account for a defense Capot.

The failed-contract rule will change how points is scored for both of the competing teams. Some teams will record the actual number of points that each team took in the round. Other teams will transfer all of the points of the trick pool to the defense in the case that the contract fail.

The two options can be selected in the calculator for either rule to change the score by fifty or sixty points in the round. The last trick bonus is awarded to the side of Belote that wins the last trick. The bonus is worth ten points and exists outside of the point pool.

Because the last trick bonus is awarded after the tricks are taken and points are awarded for tricks, the bonus may be what pushes a contract over the necessary number of points. The calculator will automatically add the last trick bonus if the player indicates that the appropriate team won the last trick. However, it is important for a team to remember this bonus because it is very easy for people to forget the bonus and wonder why the scores did not agree with the score pad.

The various declaration have a hierarchy to them. For example, a four-jack is worth more points than a twenty-point sequence contract. While the calculator will keep score of the value of each declaration, the calculator does not account for the social rules for when a player is required to make a specific declaration.

Thus, players will have to keep track of the various declarations and decide when to make them. The most consistent scorers for Belote will use the calculator as a way of verifying the score for the round. These players will keep score in their head during the round of Belote, they will note the declarations that are made during the round, and they will use the calculator to confirm that the score is the same.

Should there be any dispute in the game, the calculator will provide a breakdown of the scores for each player so that all players have the same numbers to look at during any dispute. The skill in scoring Belote games is knowing which bonuses belong to which side and knowing when the target score for a player change because of a declaration. If players are aware of these rules, they can use the calculator for Belote to allow the game to proceed quick.
