The final score for players in Lost Ruins of Arnak is composed of the player’s score for each of the following category: research progress, temple tiles, defeated guardians, collected idols, and point-bearing cards. Players earns points for their deployment of research tokens, which are awarded to each player for completing research tracks. Each player has two research tracks to complete: a magnifying glass track and an notebook track.
How to Calculate Your Final Score in Lost Ruins of Arnak
Each of these tracks has a printed value associate with it when the player completes the track; the player’s total research points are calculated by adding the value of the magnifying glass track to the value of the notebook track. These two values can be entered separately into the calculator to determine the total value of a players research track. Players score points for each of the temple tiles that they collect during the game.
Each of the temple tiles is placed in one of three different rows of the temple layout: the top row, the middle row, and the base row of the temple. Each row has different point values depending on which set of temple is used in the game. Each of the guardians that a player defeats provide the player with five victory points. As such, the calculator allows for each player to input both the number of defeated guardians and the number of fear cards that the player amassed during the game. Each of the player’s idols can earn the player three points for each face-up idol that the player has collected.
In addition to earning three points for each face-up idol, a player can earn additional points for each of the specific bonuses that are unlock for the player with those idols. In addition to the idols, each player may also possess item cards or artifact cards that provides points based upon each of the icons that the item or artifact cards have. Both of these categories of points can be entered into the calculator to determine the total score that a player can earn from idols and item or artifact cards.
In addition to these scoring components for the idols and item/artifact cards, players may have leftover resources from the game (coins, compasses, tablets, arrowheads and jewels). Although these leftover resources do not score any points to the player during the game, they can be converted to a reserve value that may assist the player in tie-breaking with opponents during the game. For various reasons, most players tend to make mistakes when calculating their final score.
For instance, players may use the wrong values for certain category within the game; for instance, they may use the wrong value for the number of research steps that the player completed, they may use the wrong point value for each of their temple tiles based on the specific type of temple set that was used during the game.
