Scale squared: Doubling the side length makes each piece four times the area, even though every fraction stays the same.
Missing pieces: Remove the piece fraction first, then apply the scale factor to estimate the area still available.
Frame fit: A full tangram square covers 100% only when the scaled side matches both board dimensions.
Piece check: The seven standard fractions sum to one complete square, so total area is simply side length squared.

A tangram set is made of seven geometric piece that fit together to create many different shape. If you’re old enough, I’m sure you played with tangrams when you were little.
