When you think about ball sizes for bowling, it’s good to recall that size and weight plays role. The diameter of a bowling ball depends commonly on the kind of play. Tenpin balls all have the same size, although their weights differ.
Professional associations estimate the diameter between 8.5 inches and 8.595 inches. That restriction counts for tournaments and leagues. Makers mostly stay very closely to those values.
Weight forms part of the right dimensions. The specifications of USBC require weight until 16 pounds. Some balls weigh only some pounds, but maximum 16.
Usually they range between 6 and 16 pounds. The weight ranges according to age. Young players commonly choose of 6 until 14 pounds.
Adult male players favour 14 until 16 pounds. Adult female players go to 10 until 14 pounds. Low adults could use 11-pound ball.
Widely adults bowl with balls of around 10 until 16 pounds.
The best weight is that feels comfortable. The heaviest ball, that you can cast without weariness, probably answers. Some use 14-pound ball for more hand under it than with 15-pound.
